Hello, my name is Kathrin and I am head of the Student Affairs and Examination Office at HHL. I am happy to advise you on all our master programs.
In this session, we will investigate internationalization strategies of (digital) firms and see how we can comprehensively assess the attractiveness of foreign markets. We will work in small groups on a case study and ensure high levels of interaction.
This virtual lecture gives a flavor of how common machine learning algorithms can help to tackle complex tasks and challenges. We will showcase a few distinct examples that demonstrate how much joy and benefit is in mastering large amounts of data.

Although (or just because of) valuing a startup is highly speculative and subject to great uncertainty, we observe an exponentially increasing number of so-called “unicorns” (startups valued at >$ 1 bn). My virtual lecture paves a wide gateway to that topic in particular and to the field of Entrepreneurial Finance in general. I won’t claim a gold-standard approach to valuing startups but rather reveal that deal structures are way more important to investors and founders than valuation per se.

How can companies manage to remain strong and innovative in the long run? How can you manage to be strong like a large company yet we as agile as a start-up?
