Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner is Dean of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and also its CEO. He also serves as chairholder of the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG Chair of Strategic Management and Digital Entrepreneurship. His duties and responsibilities are laid down in the Higher Education Autonomy Act (Gesetz über die Freiheit der Hochschulen im Freistaat Sachsen) and the statutes of HHL. As Dean, Prof. Dr. Stubner is responsible for providing overall leadership to the Business School. It is his task to shape the vision, mission and strategy of the university. He oversees and directs the operations of the Business School, including its academic profile, student affairs, international relations, library, event management, government and stakeholder communication. Prof. Dr. Stubner is an ex officio member of the professorial appointments committee and chair of the HHL senate. He reports semiannually to HHL’s Supervisory Board, as well as to the Senate on all academic issues of the university.
Dr. Marcus Kölling has served as the Chancellor of HHL since July 1st, 2018. Together with Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner, he leads the Executive Management at HHL. His responsibilities as the Chancellor and CFO include all business affairs of the university, the supervision of HHL’s alumni activities, and the management of government relations and engagement with the broader community. Additionally, he holds the responsibility for developing HHL’s annual budget and long-term financial plans, corporate partnerships, brand marketing & program consulting, administrative development, human resources, career development/employer relations, campus planning, real estate, and safety and security audits on campus. Dr. Kölling is an ex officio member of HHL’s Senate and together with the Dean reports semiannually to HHL’s Supervisory Board, as well as to the Senate on all financial and commercial issues of the university on a regular basis.
