New students starting their journey at HHL are welcomed with open arms during the vibrant Welcome Weeks. It’s more than just an introduction; it’s a celebration of the #hhlspirit. From program introductions to on-campus adventures, these weeks forge friendships that span programs and continents. Events like the Welcome BBQ, an exciting team building event, and the city-wide team rally not only foster togetherness, but help to strengthen our unique HHL community. Together, we forge bonds that last far beyond graduation and create a support network that is as diverse as it is sustainable.
During the first year of the program you will dive into the core elements of business administration—including accounting, finance, leadership, international business and economics, marketing, logistics, strategic management and entrepreneurship—as an essential foundation for your subsequent deep dive in to the management of intellectual property. The foundation courses will also include an introductory module on basic concepts of intellectual property and their application to the management of innovation. Through hands-on learning and interactive methods, such as case studies, simulations, and group projects, you’ll gain both the confidence and practical know-how to tackle leadership roles in dynamic, international, and interdisciplinary environments.
During the second year of the program you will build on your foundational business-focused knowledge by deepening your understanding of the principles of intellectual property law— from a management perspective—and by learning how to apply that knowledge strategically to solve practical problems in business. Courses taught within the IP Management specialization during the second year will be recognized by both HHL and the University of Strasbourg.
