The digital transformation is changing the value chain as well as the business model of companies and the workplace drastically. Due to the digitization changes are happening exponentially which is demanding to act with foresight. A fast and widely accepted change process will, however, only be successful if HR and the works council collaborate trustworthily. This will enable to reach highly set goals, to receive acceptance to carry out necessary changes, to be innovative and to secure that employees can continuously learn and develop within an organization. A cultural change will only succeed if it is embraced bottom-up as well as top-down.
