Germany’s competitiveness in a fragmented, AI-driven world and what this means for future careers

How strong is Germany’s position beyond political narratives? What structural strengths and weaknesses will shape future prosperity, industrial resilience, and strategic sovereignty? And as artificial intelligence transforms the nature of work: which skills will remain scarce, what distinguishes truly excellent graduates, and how can students secure their long-term competitiveness—both in expertise and geography?

We will explore these questions with Dr. Christoph Schmitz, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, who will provide deep insights into industrial transformation, productivity, and the role of technology in a rapidly changing global landscape.

The event is held in English and is free of charge.

Over the years, we have had the privilege of welcoming esteemed personalities such as Dr. Andreas Dombret, Member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank; Prof. Götz W. Werner, Founder of dm-drogerie markt; Prof. Dr. Anastassia Lauterbach, expert in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity & digital transformation; Dr. Gerhard Schröder, Former German Chancellor and many more.
