Are you ready to tackle the complex decision of ‘Make or Buy’ and gain valuable insights into corporate finance? Join us in Berlin for the HHL Finance Case Challenge, powered by Deloitte. As a current bachelor’s student or recent graduate in business or economics, interested in a first-class Master´s program, you’ll work in small groups to analyze a company’s biggest challenge of whether to grow organically or to accelerate growth via a transaction.

Our corporate partner Deloitte invites you to their Berlin office where you will find yourself in the middle of a classic board room discussion: ‘Make or Buy’? Identify the challenges, factors, and trade-offs involved in this critical decision-making process. Your team will be mentored and challenged by experts from Deloitte while developing a clear recommendation that you’ll present to our jury. Afterwards, we will come together for dinner and drinks to conclude the event.

In preparation of the Finance Case Challenge, HHL’s faculty is going to provide an on-demand mini-lecture to introduce you to the topic and equip you with useful tools to master the challenge.

Your profile

  • You are a current bachelor student or a recent graduate in Business, Economics or alike and interested in HHL´s first-class Master’s program
  • You have above average grades and/or some first relevant practical experiences.
  • You have a passion for finance and strategy, and some very first insights on the world of finance.
  • You are up for a challenge and ready to tackle it with a team of other highly motivated peers.
