The Corona crisis has had a dramatic impact on the global economy, business activities, people and their working environment. However, digitalization is also helping many companies to adapt and overcome the current situation caused by COVID-19. The increasing use of technology in the daily lives of people and businesses to meet this exceptional situation is evidence of the digital acceleration process.

The following topics will be highlighted and exploratively analyzed in the Talk:

  • What is the impact on digital transformation processes?
  • How does the Corona crisis favor the emergence of new digital products and services
  • Which problems of digitalization have intensified and need to be further understood and mitigated in the post-COVID world

Prof. Lehmann will provide insights into her applied research on how Corona has changed digitization from a “nice to have” to a “must have” for many organizations. However, she will also demonstrate that the speed of transformation must not come at the expense of risk, otherwise more harm than good can be done.

The talk will be held in English.
