Welcome to HHL’s New Chancellor
Dr. Marcus Kölling joins HHL as new Chancellor in July 2018
Today, Dr. Marcus Kölling starts as the new Chancellor and CFO of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. During the appointment process, the 45-year-old entrepreneur impressed the board with his background in business and academia and with his ideas for the future development of HHL. “Marcus Kölling combines extensive leadership experience as entrepreneur and profound knowledge of academic institutions. We could not wish for a better fit,” emphasizes the Dean of HHL, Professor Stephan Stubner.
Researcher and entrepreneur alike
Dr. Marcus Kölling studied at HHL himself and later established CLIC, the Center for Leading Innovation and Cooperation at HHL. From 2011 to June 2018, he managed the family-run Kölling Group. “Twenty years ago, I learned to love the city of Leipzig and the spirit of HHL. I am happy to return as a passionate entrepreneur myself now, and I look forward to incorporating this enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and my professional experience into my future work at Germany’s first business school,” says the new Chancellor about taking up his post.
