What we do

Since economic reforms in 1990s India, as an emerging economy, has been garnering attention of several scholars and practitioners in the field of economic and inclusive growth, information technology and e- business, social responsibility and sustainability. It is time to conceptualize and consolidate multiple perspectives in business and share it with academic and business community at large.

The key focus of the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) Chair of Corporate Responsibility and Governance is to provide greater awareness about India and Indian economy and business, and contribute to developments in the field of management science and international management through teaching, research and publications. The thrust areas of the Chair would be in the fields of international finance, corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, managing international risk and cross- cultural issues in international investment, entrepreneurship and innovation etc.
In addition, the ICCR Chair of Corporate Responsibility and Governance aims at familiarizing German students and managers with specific characteristics of the Indian corporate sector, capital markets and nature of governance and control as well as Indian business regulations.
