You are studying business administration or a business-related subject? You have your bachelor’s degree in your pocket or are already on the job? You want to take the next step and you are interested in an international and top-ranked Master program focusing on Finance?

Then seize the opportunity and broaden your view! HHL invites you to a virtual taster lecture on “Unicorns or Fata Morgana? – Insights on Start-Up Valuation and Financing” and a brief information session regarding our Master in Management | Finance program with Dr. Maximilian Schreiter.

Although – or maybe because of – valuing a startup is highly speculative and subject to great uncertainty, we observe an exponentially increasing number of so-called “unicorns” (startups worth more than one billion USD). In our short webinar, we discuss recent developments, potential valuation approaches and why publicly announced post money valuations usually overestimate a startup’s fair value. In particular the latter finding has severe implications for the venture capital industry and founders when it comes to making investments and creating smart incentive structures.

Through the virtual lecture you will be equipped with practically relevant insights on startup valuation and financing while getting a taste of what we care for in our Finance Master program at HHL!
