You are studying business administration or a business-related subject? You have your bachelor’s degree in your pocket or are already on the job? You want to take the next step and you are interested in an international and top-ranked Master program focusing on Finance?
Then seize the opportunity and broaden your view! HHL invites you to a virtual taster lecture on “Above the average!? – Insights to ETF and Active Investment” and a brief information session regarding our Master in Management | Finance program with Prof. Dr. Alexander Lahmann.
ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) investing – possibly the most dynamic and growing market in the financial world – stems from the finding that you cannot beat the market. Most, but not all, ETFs are so-called passive investments. These passive funds buy stocks of an index rather than actively picking specific investments. Our short webinar gives you a flavor of the differences between active and passive investments and reveals how portfolio optimization tools may help to tackle the question whether ETFs are the one gold standard for investment decisions. Out of plenty of possible applications, we will highlight the difference between index (or so-called market investing) and portfolio optimization.
Through the virtual lecture you will be equipped with some basic knowledge about portfolio management while getting a taste of what we care for in our Master in Management | Finance program at HHL!
