Program Info Session & Virtual Talk on “Unicorns or Fata Morgana? – Insights on Start-Up Valuation”

Then seize the opportunity and broaden your view! HHL invites you to a program info session and virtual talk on “Unicorns or Fata Morgana? – Insights on Start-Up Valuation” with Dr. Maximilian Schreiter.

Although (or just because of) valuing a startup is highly speculative and subject to great uncertainty, we observe an exponentially increasing number of so-called “unicorns” (startups worth more than one billion USD). In our short webinar, we do not target the one gold-standard approach of valuing startups but rather reveal that, on average, shares in startup companies are overvalued due to the structure of equity financing applied. These findings have severe implications for the venture capital industry and founders when it comes to making investments and creating incentive structures.

Through the virtual talk you will be equipped with practically relevant insights on startup financing while getting a taste of what we cover in our Master in Management | Finance program at HHL!
