Obituary for Professor Dr. Kajo Schommer
On July 8, 2007, Professor Dr. Kajo Schommer passed away at the age of 67 after a serious illness. Following Germany´s reunification, Professor Schommer was Saxony´s Minister of Economic Affairs from 1990 to 2002 and in this capacity played a significant role in establishing and developing the Free State of Saxony. He supported the HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management with energy and commitment, joining the HHL Supervisory Board in March 2004. An honorary professor at the Technical University of Chemnitz, Professor Schommer was also an independent consultant.
