Our students are prepared for the management challenges posed by the global world of the 21st century through teaching characterized by a high level of problem-solving competence and sound methodology. Our teaching philosophy combines practical and decision-oriented approaches with a thorough grounding in business and economic theory. Teamwork in small groups and innovative, interactive teaching methods enable students to study efficiently. Based on the integration of practical projects, terms abroad and a high proportion of foreign students, we develop and foster the social and intercultural competencies of our students.
We generate research results which we make available to academia and the business world as well as to our students and alumni. In addition to our chairs, specialist competence centers form the basis of our research competence. Research projects at the highest academic level and the publication of results in renowned national and international journals underscore our role as an academic institution of higher education and the position of our professors in the German research community.
Based on the subject-specific and methodical competence of HHL, we and our subsidiary HHL Executive make a value-added contribution towards the development and qualification of executives. With our unwavering commitment to conveying practice-oriented management know-how combined with the latest research insights in the core fields of business administration, we design programs and seminars which are oriented to the market requirements of specific industry sectors or which are tailored to the requirements of a specific corporate partner.
