To achieve this goal HHL offers with the MBA Scholarship for Entrepreneurs - a Cooperation of HHL and DIE WELT an extraordinary scholarship that supports HHL’s mission to "educate effective and responsible
business leaders through excellence in teaching, research and practice" and at the same time opens a platform for the exchange of excellent ideas with the German national quality newspaper DIE WELT as a sound media partner in Germany.
The MBA Scholarship for Entrepreneurs - a Cooperation of HHL and DIE WELT is worth 15,000 EUR and will be awarded for the first time in 2010.
Scholarship Description
The MBA Scholarship for Entrepreneurs focuses, similar to the HHL Future Entrepreneur Scholarship, on all prospective students who bring their entrepreneurial potential to HHL and who seek to start their own business after graduating from HHL or who have already started it. During his/her time at HHL the successful candidate will participate in the student initiative >> accelerate@hhl and is asked to introduce his/her business concept in at least one of the events of the initiative.
Furthermore, DIE WELT might set up a column with the student to accompany the working process of the business concept. The scholarship will provide the successful candidate with a tuition waiver that covers more than two-thirds of the full-time MBA Program (15,000 EUR).
Requirements and Deadline
Applicants must hold or be in the process of obtaining a first degree (at least 180 ECTS credits) with an above average result.
Furthermore a good GMAT score is required. Only applicants who apply for HHL´s full-time MBA Program for the September 2010 intake are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Applicants are required to submit all application documents from May 1-June 30, 2010, together with the application documents.
After the scholarship applications have been reviewed, two interviews either on the phone or at HHL will be held: one interview will be conducted by the Academic Director of the Program "International Entrepreneurship" and the other by an entrepreneur from HHL. The decision will be pronounced in July.
Scholarship Business Plan
Please submit the following essay to us: Business planning concept: How does your business concept look like and how can it be implemented?
Answer this question on the basis of a sound theoretical reasoning and show how it can be applied to practice. The essay has to be written in English and should comprise approximately 3,000 words.
