Friede Springer Scholarships
Since 2013, the Friede Springer Foundation has continuously promoted excellence in research by funding doctoral scholarships for outstanding candidates. Thanks to the generous support, CASiM is currently hosting two excellent members - Anirban Ash and Stefan Anderer who primarily investigate the role trust plays in firms and markets. The first Friede Springer Scholarship holder Dr. Linh Nguyen successfully completed her doctoral studies in 2016.
Linh Nguyen, CASiM member from the very beginning, focused her research on the dynamics of trust in strategic alliances, whereas Anirban Ash, scholarship holder since 2014, is researching on the evolution of trust in client-banker relationships.
In October 2015, we’ve gained another member, Stefan Anderer: His interdisciplinary project intends to study the philosophical underpinnings and societal factors of trust in the relationship between organizations and pluralist society.
Two further scholarships are open from Spring 2017.
The successful candidates address innovative research in the fields of Management Science, Logistics, Operations Management and/ or (Algorithmic) Game Theory.
The scholarships offer a unique opportunity to pursue a doctoral project under the guidance of internationally renowned scholars as a part of our dynamic team. Each scholarship provides a monthly stipend of EUR 1,750, a yearly budget for visiting international conferences as well as a waiver of the tuition fee for the doctoral program (EUR 15,000). The maximum length of the scholarship is two years.
