Educational background
You should have a good undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification.
Work experience
Our current MBA students have a good performance record. The range of work experience within the class is between three and 15 years.
International exposure
Around 30 % of our part-time MBA students have international backgrounds, coming from very different countries, like Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Egypt, Finland, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, USA. We select students with an international outlook, and/or those who can build on existing international exposure.

To hand in the application you need the following documents:
| Certified transcripts of grades, degree or diploma | Please attach an original transcript of grades from each university you have attended. |
| Certified GMAT score report | You have to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the HHL Admission Test. Please ensure that your GMAT score will still be valid when you matriculate. We offer GMAT preparation courses at HHL. Our GMAT code number for the MBA is ZCB-P6-01. |
| HHL MBA Admission Test | The alternative test we offer for those who don't take the GMAT. The test takes place at HHL. |
| Complete application form | Please make sure that you have filled out the application form completely and that you have attached all documents required. |
| Curriculum vitae, resume | Maximum three pages (in English) |
| Evidence of work experience | State your work experience in the CV. It is helpfful to attach a reference from your previous/current employer. |
| Motivation letter | One A4 page written out in English. |
| Proof of proficiency in English | TOEFL or IELTS. You don't have to submit your test score if a) your undergraduate or postgraduate degree was conducted entirely in English or in an English-speaking country or b) you have lived or worked in an English-speaking country for at least two years. |
| Two letters of recommendation | Ask a competent person who knows you well from work or from university to write a recommendation. |
