We welcome you to the Dr. Werner Jackstädt Chair of Economic and Business Ethics and invite you to read yourself about our research topics. The new chair will pick up exactly where the DOW Research Professorship for Sustainabilty and Global Ethics at HHL, which was sponsored by DOW Deutschland, left off.

Our work centres on the theory-practice dialog concerning corporate responsibility: On the basis of a theoretical conception we are oriented towards the practical problems and, thus, work on the question how profit and morals can be made prolific. Here, we apply the golden rule: Invest in the conditions of social cooperation for mutual advantage!

Therefore, good management means to be successful because of value-based behavior. Under the conditions of business competition, this maxim constitutes a challenging task for the management of corporations.

For this reason, problem focus, capacity for teamwork, sense of responsibility and power of judgment are the aims of our teachings.
