The >> Center for Financial Reporting & Consolidation (CFRC) is integrated into the Chair of Accounting and Auditing at HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management. It started its activities on July 1, 2009.
The purpose of the CFRC is to promote HHL’s involvement in consulting challenges subject to financial reporting and consolidation according to IFRS. The CFRC provides consulting ventures with academic input based on scientific expertise in the area of International Financial Reporting and consolidation. Both areas have been further developed by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) at a dynamic pace and have proven to be enormously complex.
As founding partners in the CFRC, >> Bertelsmann Business Consulting GmbH (BeBC) and the >> Gesellschaft für kapitalmarktorientierte Rechnungslegung e.V. (GKR) - a society dealing with issues of capital-market oriented financial reporting - support the Center’s activities. BeBC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of media giant Bertelsmann AG. GKR, the second founding partner, has established itself as a well-known platform for knowledge-sharing and communication in the fields of current developments in accounting, auditing and corporate governance.
