The HHL student community is made up of around 300 students from all backgrounds and interests, making for great synergy and networking. The "world class" consists of:
- MBAs - a cosmopolitan group: 30-40 per cent are German, the remainder come from all over the world.
- Part-time MBAs - mid-career professionals currently working with international companies in Germany and other countries.
- Diploma/M.Sc. students - enrolled in the Masters programs for general management.
- Doctoral students - mid-career professionals or assistants to HHL professors who contribute to the scientific research at HHL.
- Exchange students - enrolled at HHL for a term as part of a full-time program with an HHL partner university.
