HHL Among the Top 20 Entrepreneurial Universities in Germany
On February 14, 2012, HHL was voted among the top 20 entrepreneurial universities in Germany in the second round of the EXIST – Culture of Entrepreneurship program by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. 41 universities participated.
HHL now can prepare a detailed concept on holistic entrepreneurial profiling over the next six months and receive funds of about EUR 70,000 from the German Federation in order to do so. The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology will then support a maximum of ten universities presenting the most convincing strategies in the practical implementation over a maximum of five years with up to EUR 1 million per year.
The Leipzig based institution is glad to be invited to build on its project outline and develop an extensive concept for HHL as a business school along with excellent universities such as RWTH Aachen, FU Berlin and KIT Karlsruhe. Thanks to the 'EXIST Culture of Entrepreneurship – The Entrepreneurial University' federal competition, HHL can significantly increase its activities in research, teaching and transfer in the field of business management. The most traditional business school in German-speaking Europe wants to act as a partner for start-ups and innovation in the region and continue to strengthen its profile as one the world's leading business schools at the same time.
