Summer School@HHL

The summer school of this year took place for our passionate students from HHL´s Ph.D. program on June 18th to 22nd, 2007. Ph.D. student´s intensive learning and research exchanges included group sessions as well as individual meetings with advanced scholars. This offered students to make progress on an individual research project as well as to gain from joint collaborative learning. The challenging research throughout each day was followed by a relaxing evening in form of a barbecue at HHL or dinners at one of Leipzig´s restaurants.

This highlight of the program was a serious of lectures by Prof. Anne Huff, Founding Director of the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM) at London Business School and former president of the Academy of Management (AoM). Students received further academic support from Dr. Tobias Fredberg from Chalmers University of Technology and FENIX, a multi-disciplinary management research organization. The summer school contributed also from visits of Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Althammer, Head of the Doctoral Program and Prof. Dr. Kathrin Möslein, Academic Director of HHL´s CLIC - Center for Leading Innovation and Cooperation.
