International competence is essential for the success of a business leader. Global partnerships are therefore one of HHL's key assets. We serve our student body with more than 100 >> partner universities in a great variety of countries reaching from Australia to Uruguay.
In order to keep abreast with current international, social and economic challenges, our M.Sc. students spend one semester abroad. Our MBA students can spend a semester abroad. The learning experience focuses on the methods of working and the way of life in foreign cultures. The courses taken abroad will be part of the student's performance record and are given equal value considering the overall grades at HHL.
Each year around 80 HHL students spend a >> term abroad at one of our partner institutions and over 80 incoming >> exchange students per year are an enrichment of our academic programs.

"After reading Friedman's book "The World is Flat" I had to come to India and discover for myself whether India is a threat or an opportunity for Europe and the USA. Due to Indian friends and Indian B-school rankings there was no alternative to the long-time number one - the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). HHL offered me the unique chance to spend my 5th term at IIMA and to find out that there are plenty of OPPORTUNITIES."
