Wanted: Business Ideas for an Open Business Plan Seminar at HHL
The successful Business Plan Seminar by HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management will enter its next round in April. Serving as a role model of knowledge platform connecting a regional university to regional companies and entrepreneurs, the open Business Plan Seminar is sponsored by the Leipziger Stiftung für Innovation und Technologietransfer (Leipzig Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer).
Researchers and those wishing to start their own company with innovative business ideas may now apply for participation in the seminar offered free of charge. Together with a team of students from the Leipzig business school, they will develop a professional business plan for their own idea over the course of three months which will eventually be presented to a judging panel of investors and entrepreneurs. This gives participants the unique opportunity to receive real feedback on their business ideas and to benefit from the HHL students' management-related knowledge. The winner of the Business Plan Seminar will receive the HHL Business Plan Award.
Business ideas wanted
The HHL Business Plan Award is organized by the Rolf Schrömgens Professorship for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer led by Jun.-Prof. Dr. Vivek Velamuri in cooperation with the Center for Entrepreneurial and Innovative Management (CEIM). Those interested in participating in HHL's Business Plan Seminar, which will be taught in English only, may submit a pitch deck of their business idea as well as their résumé to Franziska Greim, e-mail: franziska.greim(at)hhl.de The closing date for applications is March 5th, 2017. The seminar will start in April 2017. The submitted ideas will be checked for plausibility and suitability by the Chair and cleared for the seminar after a successful review. All documents will be kept strictly confidential. Business ideas may be submitted from various fields. The participants over the last few years came from the areas of information, medical and biotechnologies or were involved in the fields of e-commerce and social projects. The Rolf Schrömgens Professorship for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer will organize the Business Plan Seminar and the HHL Business Plan Award while also coaching the teams.
The seminar in its current form is facilitated by the support and sponsorship of the Leipziger Stiftung für Technologie und Innovationstransfer. The focus of the foundation's work is on promoting the transfer of scientific findings for the economic development of the Leipzig region.
