Our Staff about HHL

HHL is an innovative employer with flat hierarchies, many different working time models and interdisciplinary cooperation. We will support you in the reconciliation of family and work and provide an excellent working environment. Since we put emphasis on long-term employment relationships, we try to offer our employees the opportunity to continually develop professionally and personally. We invite you to become a part of our successful and motivated team.

Prof. Dr. Iris Hausladen, Chairholder

September 2007 was the starting shot regarding my function as chairholder of the Heinz Nixdorf Chair of IT-based Logistics at HHL. In this perspective with a double meaning, i.e. to line up with two key issues relatively new for HHL: usage of intelligent information and communication technologies in the field of logistics management. But due to the interdisciplinary research and teaching at HHL it soon became clear that the logistics with its cross-functional character fits perfectly with all other management disciplines and can contribute to the innovation of HHL’s group “Sustainability and Competitiveness” in a constructive manner. Our research at HHL is not carried out in an ivory tower, but an intensive theory-practice transfer is our obligation: regarding the IT-based Logistics this constitutes an outstanding breeding ground, due to the fact that most of the research questions result directly from the logistics as well as IT praxis. Accompanied by the open, innovation and entrepreneurship friendly climate, embedded in an intercultural context, many possibilities for my research and teaching are offered to develop sustainable logistics and supply chain concepts within an interdisciplinary theory-practice relationship, to test them directly alongside the application and to impart as well as to reflect them in class.

Dr. Tobias Dauth, Junior Professor

“Since April 2013 I am working as a Junior Professor for International Management at HHL. The reasons why I am proud to be a member of HHL are threefold: 1) We have a strong community and the relationship between students and staff is great. 2) Our students are highly motivated and open-minded. It is exciting to work with them. 3) HHL provides an excellent environment and support for my research.”

Franka Storzer, Director Program Management

“For almost 6 years now I am working at HHL, roughly 2 years ago I took over the position as Director Program Management. My daily work focusses on the delivery and continuous improvement of our study programs, but also on the strategic development of existing and new programs.

What I particularly like about it is to be in touch with almost everyone at HHL - students, professors and staff. I appreciate the commitment and flexibility at HHL - but also the possibility to meet new challenges.”
