Study abroad at a partner university of HHL

The general policy is to send not more than two students to one partner university at the same time, according to the agreements with our partners.

Once a year, HHL publishes a list of the available places abroad. These places will be allocated to the students according to an internal ranking. Calculation for the ranking: Academic performance: 1,00 = 1000 points; 1,01 = 999 points; etc. + absolute GMAT score.

In addition, students must satisfy the following restrictions:

  • Personal GMAT score must meet or exceed the average GMAT of the host institution.
  • Host institution must offer the required academic courses.
  • Students must have the financial resources to cover the living costs in the host country.

HHL students Karl-Maximilian Strobel and Sascha Mull (both MSc3) at AIT Bangkok

  • Students must provide the required language tests, if necessary.
  • Restrictions of the host program (minimum age and/or work experience) are considered.

Tuition fees for the semester abroad at a partner university must be paid to HHL. This is HHL’s usual semester fee.

"For my term abroad I chose to study at the City University New York, Baruch College. The college has superior academic facilities and professors with a wide range of expertise. It was a great time which gave me the chance to grow academically and personally."
