The International Biographical Archive offered by Munzinger Archiv contains more than 25.400 biographies of persons from political, business, scientific, cultural and social life. The database entries describe their role and their influence on society. They summarize main developments, explain backgrounds and illustrate achievements.
New portraits are added weekly, more than 1.400 entries per year are updated. (German language interface)
The fulltext database LexisNexis provides biographical information about people from business, industry and entertainment. The focus lies mainly on American persons.
The database contains short biographical information on more than 5 million persons from all over the world together with digitalized articles from biographical reference books published by K.G. Saur Verlag. Search languages offered are English, German, Italian, French and Spanish. The search may also be confined to certain biographical archives.
